Weatherizing Homes
At MCOHA, we work tirelessly to help make sure that the basic needs of low-income individuals and families are being met. We work closely with the State of New Jersey to assist elderly, handicapped, and low-income persons in weatherizing their homes, improving their heating systems efficiency and conserving energy. Through our state-funded Weatherization program, our team is able to inspect the homes of low-income individuals and make repairs and replacements of heating systems and insulations to make sure they are energy efficient. Ultimately, this saves them money on energy costs.
Saving Them Money On Heating Costs
Through our state-funded Weatherization program, our team is able to inspect the homes of low-income individuals and provide them with services to make their homes more energy-efficient. These services may include insulation of attic, floors, and walls, replacement or repairs of heating systems, and weather stripping or caulking. Ultimately, this saves them money on energy costs.
Insulating Attics, Floors, and Walls
Our expert team works tirelessly every day to help low-income families and individuals stay warm, which is especially essential during the wintertime. Through our free program, eligible candidates are able to receive improvement, repairs, and or replacement of insulation and window units to increase the home temperature retainment and energy efficiency.
Repairing or Replacing Heating Systems
This heating improvement program provides low-income families assistance in reducing their energy bills by upgrading, repairing, and or replacing heating and central air conditioning systems.
Prioritizing Elderly, Handicapped, and Low-Income Individuals
Income inequality can have a real and tangible impact on living situations, and this gap can be especially significant for the elderly, handicapped, and very low-income families and individuals. That is why MCOHA is working on the front lines to help minimize that gap. We are able to provide assistance and make a positive impact on over $12,000 people every year.
